In the past, Villa Giardino was the estate of the captain's family of Kraljevi\u0107, but that is not what makes it truly special. One of our rooms hides the secrets and the bed on which Emperor Franz Joseph had slept during his visit to Bol on 23 April 1875. Famous Austrian Emperor and the Hungarian-Croatian King Franz Joseph has organized visits from Split to Bra\u010d, Supetar, and Postira as part of his trip to Dalmatia. Amazing opportunity and honor were given to the family of Kraljevi\u0107, they had their favorite King to define their King's Room.\u00a0<\/div>

\u201c"Franz Joseph I" or <\/em>Francis Joseph I (18 August 1830\u2013 21 November 1916) was <\/em>Emperor of Austria<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>King of Hungary<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>King of Bohemia<\/em><\/a>, and monarch of many other states of the <\/em>Austro-Hungarian Empire<\/em><\/a>, from 2 December 1848 until his death."\u201d<\/em><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the Austrian rule on the island, Franz Joseph was very much loved and accepted among the islanders, so they have named both, "King's stairs" and the famous Stone Bridge after him, as a sign of affection. King's stairs you can find near the town market, right in the city center. If you still haven't, make sure to visit. If you continue to the very top of Veliki Dolac, near Lo\u017ei\u0161\u0107e, you will find the above-mentioned stone bridge. Due to its location and purpose, it is at the same time intriguing and amusing because it leaves the impression that it leads from nowhere to nowhere. Also, you will find no running water under it. Thanks to local actions and efforts, several climbing locations are created in the vicinity of the bridge.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

However, Franz Joseph is not the only notable whose name is associated with the island of<\/div>
Brac. Legend says that Helen the Crusader (Jelena Kri\u017earica), who discovered the location of Chris's suffering in Jerusalem, hails from the village of \u0160krip, which is why this town is today home to the Church of St Helen.<\/div>
